Exhibition “Long live Don Quixote!” | Gencat Cultural Agenda
Genius Chef reimagines the Don Quixote de Cervantes through a radical visual language that fuses classical painting with highly expressive graphic art. His monumental canvases dissolve the boundaries between disciplines, opening vast metaphysical spaces where imagination and myth intertwine.
Using techniques from the old masters —oil diluted with liquid amber— combined with unexpected blends of wine, olive juice and earth pigments, Chef creates richly textured surfaces that evoke the dusty, endless paths of La Mancha. Drawings made with bird feathers, visible charcoal underlayers and dynamic brushstrokes they reveal a creative process as adventurous as the knight himself.
