
Concert by Pyrene Pelayo-Domingo, “Scletches, fondarias i sonarias” / Activities / Visit us / Home

Next Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the Sala de Llevant of the Biblioteca de Catalunya will host Pyrene Pelayo-Domingo’s concert, “Escletxes, fondàrias i sonarias”.
The concert, subtitled “Music for the Infinity of Time”, will include a selection of pieces by authors from different eras, from the Middle Ages to the present, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Erik Satie, Frédéric Chopin or Enric Granados, in addition to several compositions by the performer. During the show, several poems by Àngel Guimerà will be read by actress, rhapsode and writer Teresa Domingo-Moratona.
Pyrene Pelayo-Domingo, born in 2006 in Alt Empordà, is a pianist, violinist, singer and composer. He is currently studying at the Open College of the Arts, a British university associated with the Open University, where he is tutored by the British composers Carla Rees, Desmond Clarke and Neil T. Smith. She is also a student of British pianist Simon Watterton.
He gave his first solo concert in June 2023 and since then he has performed as a soloist in several churches in the Principality and in Northern Catalonia, such as Sant Martí del Canigó Abbey.
In June 2024, he premiered in Figueres, together with Teresa Domingo-Moratona, the dramatic concert ‘Cayron’, based on the work ‘Caín’ by Lord Byron.
