Next Thursday, January 29, at 8:30 p.m., the concert by cellist Sveta Trushka and pianist Akiko Nomoto will take place in the Sala de Llevant of the Biblioteca de Catalunya.

Sveta Trushka, graduated from the Higher Conservatory of Music in Kazan, student of teacher Danil Shafran and also trained at the Reina Sofía School of Music, stands out for her sensitivity and expressiveness in dialogue with the piano.

Akiko Nomoto, educated at the Marshall Academy, linked to the tradition of Enric Granados and Alicia de Larrocha, brings depth, especially in works by Catalan composers.

The program gives a special place to Catalan music, with works by Gaspar Cassadó and Enric Granados, performed on this composer’s piano which is preserved in the Library of Catalonia. It also includes, among other pieces, a sonata for cello and piano by Alexei Shor, a contemporary Ukrainian composer of lyrical and expressive language.
