24/01 – 11.30 a.m. GAZA… I love you! Guided tour with author Shareef Sarhan

Saturday 24 January at 11.30am.

Guided tour of the GAZA project… I love you!, by the author Shareef Sarhan

Gaza is not just a city, it is a memory that breathes despite the rubble, a call that still rings in our hearts, even when everything is extinguished. These photographs form a visual journey from 2005 to 2023, an attempt to capture the features of everyday life before it was swallowed by the dust. In these images, the concrete is transformed into a skin that preserves the imprints of faces, the sea into a mirror of memory, and the children into guardians of the light. Each photograph was an act of survival, an exercise of love in the face of despair, art becoming an essential breath when the horizon was reduced to the rest. “Gaza… I love you” is not just a phrase, but the recognition that art can be a homeland and that memory, transposed into an image, becomes resistance.

Through this visit you will be able to learn about the project from the hand of the author; get to know their life story and discover what the processes and work methodologies are like in the different stages of development of a project of these characteristics.

Wednesday 28/1 at 18:30. Table #28 of Jiser Mediterranean Reflections with members of Palestina Animada and Shareef Sarhan.

Animated Palestine is a collective of Palestinian and international animation directors. Our films explore various aspects of Palestinian life under occupation. Faced with genocide, we felt the need to come together as an artistic community to support each other, strengthen ties and spread stories of Palestine: stories of pain, resistance and hope, as an antidote to death and destruction.

With the collaboration of Palestina Animada, Jiser, Al-liquindoi, Center d’art Fabra i Coats, La Escocesa, Impressionart and Pati Llimona.
