CALL FOR WOMEN MONOLOGUIST COMPETITION 2026

We often see that in various areas of social life and the cultural world, the social construction of the female role and the male role creates gender inequalities and, therefore, already marked stereotypes towards some forms of artistic expression. The world of humor could be an example. Hence, the need to continue doing a project like this, in order to promote and encourage the presence of women monologists on the scene and publicize their monologues.

For this reason, another year comes to La Farinera on Competition of women monologists inside the ‘More than thatand Muses: cycle of creative women’which this year reaches its 12th edition.

• Deadline for receiving proposals: from January 12 to February 1, 2026 (both included).
• Date of the final: Friday, February 20, 2026 at 8 p.m at the Jesús Concernau Theater of the La Farinera del Clot Cultural Center (Gran Via, 837)
• Award: €400 for the winning monologue and €200 for the 2nd most voted monologue.
