Art of Abandonment, 2024
Directors: Daria Podsiadlo and Edward Till
In a small mountain town on the outskirts of Barcelona, a British land art artist, solitary and reserved, faces a legacy crisis as he ages. After having accepted for years that nature was his gallery, he begins to draw his ephemeral sculptures to record his work. Isolated and with language difficulties,
meet neighbors whose promises to visit are never fulfilled. In a silent and bittersweet journey, he ends up accepting that his art belongs solely to nature.
A Life with you, 2024
Directors: Mathew Jacob and Ronak Thadeshwar
Alba and Alberto have been meeting for more than a decade a few days a week for their sessions in an art therapy association in Barcelona. Beyond this physical space, their interactions are limited to online exchanges. They would like to live together, but some of their own fears and societal expectations keep them apart.
‘Una Vida Amb tu’ is a small foray into the world of love for people with Down syndrome.
The sixth cycle, 2024
Directors, Ariela Jelic and Maya Delagree
Set in the coastal town of Masnou, the film follows the generational bond between Francesc and his father, the local undertakers.
Through his daily work, the film reflects on life and death and addresses issues such as family legacy, the passage of time and the human experience. The story offers an intimate look at the silent care of those who care for us when we are no longer there, and the connection between work, memory and life cycles.
Dawn, 2023
Director, Lacielle Klotz
Alba’s happy childhood gives way to the shadows of teenage trauma. By breaking the silence and forging bonds with other survivors, her journey is a testament to resilience and a
emotional statement of what it means for a child to go through abuse.
Spindrift, 2023
Director, Ruggero Ragonesi
A man who suffers from chronic pain, reflects on his existence, his dreams, and his life.
OTOXO Pantalla is a monthly series of documentary screenings and discussions that celebrates films with a spirit of defiant joy — stories that tackle global issues through hope, inspiration and human connection.
The aim of the initiative is to bring to the public works that invite reflection, dialogue and understand our world from new perspectives, and to create a space where filmmakers and spectators can share experiences and points of view in an open and accessible environment.
From December, the screenings will take place on a selected Wednesday of each month, in sessions that will combine cinema, conversation and community.
