Geronimo Stilton Live: An Immersive Adventure


Barcelona is premiering this December a large-format family proposal: Geronimo Stilton Livean immersive experience that adapts the literary universe of the popular journalist mouse to an interactive theatrical tour. The production, driven by Nostromo Livewill open its doors on December 12 in a 1,200 m² tent located in the La Maquinista shopping center, a space that is consolidating itself as one of the city’s Christmas hubs.

The initiative proposes an immersion in the Kingdom of Fantasy through a dramatic itinerary with live actors, interactive scenography, visuals and original music. Attendees follow an unprecedented, cooperative story that aims to unfreeze Queen Floridiana and return magic to her world. The tour includes spaces such as the Stiltonian Museum, the Magic Portal, the Frozen Fairy Forest, the Gnome Village, the Magic Forge and the Ice Labyrinth.

The proposal takes another step in the scenic exploitation of a literary universe that has accumulated two decades of international success. Created in 2000 by the Italian author Elisabetta DamiGeronimo Stilton is one of the most popular characters in contemporary children’s literature, with more than 180 million books sold worldwide and translations into more than 50 languages. In Spain, the phenomenon arrived in 2003 and has exceeded 10 million copies sold, with a legacy that has expanded to musicals, video games, comics and animated series.

Geronimo Stilton Live it also represents Nostromo Live’s first foray into immersive formats, after a career focused on large-format musical shows in theaters such as The crazy cage, The shop of horrors, Singing in the rain, The Producers or Groundhog day. The experience incorporates original music signed by Rafael Plana i Fernando Velazquezthe latter responsible for international film soundtracks.

The installation is part of La Maquinista’s Christmas offer, which this year includes a Christmas market, the largest ice rink in Catalonia and various family proposals. The sessions of the experience will last approximately 60 minutes and will be offered in Catalan or Spanish depending on the band. Children under the age of two have free access.
