exhibition "The analogous mountain"
Parallel to the hegemony of a story, there are an infinite number of micro-stories that, far from rubbing insignificance, are the source that nurtures certain artists to formalize a body of work that offers the possibility of understanding life from a closer perspective. Two of the artists who stop their gaze on what hardly anyone notices are the filmmaker Michelangelo Antonioni (Ferrara, 1912 – Rome, 2007) and the photographer Luigi Ghirri (Scandiano, 1943 – Roncocesi, 1992), two artists born in Emilia-Romagna twenty years apart who did not have the opportunity to meet each other in life, but whose work, each in its own way, is an invitation to observation, recollection and introspection.
