Multimedia installation "The power of the Display. Gae Archive"

With a multimedia installation deployed in two parts, Nora Ancarola culminates a research process on the structure of the Museum and the architectural reform carried out by Gae Aulenti between the years 1985 and 2004. Her proposal allows us access to the secret entrails of the construction and consolidation of the building. The artist has filmed some characters who transit and interact within the mysterious foundations of the building as agents of balance, containment and play. With this exercise in transparency, it shows that the museum is a great presentation device, a display, which orders our experience of art.
