01/20 – 6 p.m. Opening: GAZA… I love you! The power of the image. An act of survival, an indelible memory

A project of Shareef Sarhan

From January 20 to March 14, 2026

Gaza is not just a city, it is a memory that breathes despite the rubble, a call that still rings in our hearts, even when everything is extinguished. These photographs form a visual journey from 2005 to 2023, an attempt to capture the features of everyday life before it was swallowed by the dust. In these images, the concrete is transformed into a skin that preserves the imprints of faces, the sea into a mirror of memory, and the children into guardians of the light. Each photograph was an act of survival, an exercise of love in the face of despair, art becoming an essential breath when the horizon was reduced to the rest. “Gaza… I love you” is not just a phrase, but the recognition that art can be a homeland and that memory, transposed into an image, becomes resistance.
