‘Suite Flamenca’, the final touch of the Flamenco City 2025

The Flamenco City extends its echo beyond the October festival with a very special last date: Flamenco Suitewhich will take place on Sunday, November 9 at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium.

This concert is part of OFF Flamenco Citythe space that extends the spirit of the festival and accommodates proposals that dialogue between the flamenco tradition and the new sounds.

On this occasion, the Barcelona Municipal Bandjoins the singer Rafael de Utrera and al Ensemble Flamenco Workshop of Musicians to offer a program that combines roots and avant-garde.

Pieces like the one will be played on stage Flamenco Sinfonietta of Carlos Suriñachthe Concerto for two alto saxophones “FlamenK” of Ernesto Aurignacas well as emblematic works like Zyryab of Paco de Lucia, the spring of Isla Shrimp y Couplets of friendshipof Requiem for Enrique Morente. In memoriamwhich Joan Díaz composed in 2017, seven years after the maestro’s death.

It will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the power of flamenco in dialogue with the symphony orchestra, in a concert that puts a brilliant end to Ciutat Flamenco 2025.
