Make your cultural project fly! The Lluís Carulla Award is back

The Carulla Foundation opens one new call for the Lluís Carulla Prizea biennial cultural entrepreneurship program that seeks to detect, promote and make viable cultural projects and ideas that transform and improve Catalan society. The deadline for submitting candidacies ends on January 13, 2026.
An award that promotes social transformation
The Lluís Carulla Award is endowed with a total of 100,000 eurosaimed at making the winning projects a reality and evaluating their impact. The endowment is distributed as follows: 60,000 euros for the Best Transformative Cultural Project, 25,000 euros for the Second Best Project or Idea Transformer, i 15,000 euros for the preparation of impact studies.
In this edition, the Lluís Carulla Award aligns with the Cultural rights law of Cataloniawhich recognizes the right to cultural identity, participation, creation, artistic training and universal access to culture as an essential public good.

More than an award, a program of cultural entrepreneurship
The training and support program for the Lluís Carulla Award is divided into 4 phases:
- The Academy: Intensive training in 4 workshops for up to 20 selected projects, on culture and social transformation, creativity, communication, entrepreneurial skills and impact assessment.
- Incubation Phase: Personalized support for up to 10 finalist projects, from cultural mentors and the Self-Employment Foundation to accelerate the projects.
- Delivery of the Award: The jury will choose the two winning projects in the fall of 2026, which will be presented in action between November and December 2026.
- Expansion Phase: Cultural and business support for 2 years for the winning projects, with impact assessment and residency at the Carulla Foundation.
Who can participate?
All those can apply for the Lluís Carulla Award projects and ideas with a transformative look, that respond to a social challenge through artistic and cultural solutionswith real impact on the community. Proposals must encourage citizen participation, co-creation, sustainability and artistic innovation.
