It Center for the Free Arts of the Joan Brossa Foundation, La Brossa, continues to be defined as a space where experimentation and transformation are the basis of the game; Where the hybridization of artistic languages is an attitude, a constant gesture against immobility and against the expression of “this has always been done.” This desire for constant change, to inconvenience the pre -established boundaries, goes hand in hand with the desire to generate a nearby space, where the risk is family and creates a comforting and kind atmosphere where uncertainty lives. An uncertainty that is not a sign of perdition, but of research and the possibility of imagining alternatives to the world today through aesthetic experiences.

We want to open home doors, invite and give gift with everything the campaign this season announces. Because we know that it is only to make ourselves available to you, artists and citizenship, that we can change certain dynamics that are limiting life and their creativity. And all this we express with artistic creations, with creative budgets, with committed teams, with impossible calendars and eager to welcome you to another season.

The program in front of you have been the result of a listening to the artist community and the permeability to contemporaneity is highlighted in social, political and artistic. A collective manifestation that highlights non -conformism in the face of uniformism and its drifts. A diagonal reading makes us travel from the word informal to that of guerrilla and, in the middle, by a whole range of concepts, such as theanti -fascismthat they put us on alert. And those who play with these concepts and manifest are:

Whoever has ever visited the Free Arts Center knows that it does everything and the communication proposal of the 25-26 season wants to make it explicit. The message is deployed in three main areas – services, activities and spaces – with the aim of inviting the Barcelona public to enjoy the center in any of its forms. This textual proposal is accompanied by an image of pigeons, a symbol of the Barcelonity, gathered in a branch in the Parc de la Ciutadella: an image that reminds us that the center of the free arts – lightning like birds – is and wants to be a real meeting point in the city.
