The play tells the story of Marçal, a young chef who, to prevent his elitist mother -in -law, discover that his father is a hippie who lives in a motorhome in Australia, decides to hire an actor to get through a commitment dinner. “My character does not want them to see him as a hunting-strong,” says Edu Lloveras. “The plan seems perfect, but everything is twisted when the actor initially hired falls ill and the replacement that comes is Ramon, a modest dubbing actor, played by Joan Pera, who does not look like what they expected.”

The creation process has been intense and fun, as Daniel Anglès points out: “Joan Pera is our comedy Messi. We have put a good team of actors around him to play and try things in the rehearsal room.” English emphasizes that the audience really enjoys the actor in uncomfortable situations: “When we see him suffering on stage, he makes us laugh a lot. We laughed a lot during rehearsals, and now we just have to see how the audience responds.”
For Joan Pera, the expectation is high: “When you have a good time in rehearsals, the nerves are very great before the premiere,” the actor confesses: “You say not only the text, but also what it means, and this requires a lot of complicity with the stagemates.”

The work is born of a collaboration between Viñas and Garachana, two authors who share a similar vision of the theater despite being different generations. “With Joan Pera we met at All year can be Christmas.
