What is behind our mask? Are we what we hide? What scares us about ourselves? Ren asks himself every day while working in his small office and fights his tireless insomnia, although he sometimes responds another person: his alter. How should this be be? Can we be friends? Is it a much more familiar face than we thought? Or maybe it’s someone else’s face?
Alter It is a piece of visual theater, dance, body puppets and mask where different visual poems are intertwined, reflecting on the complexity of human identity and the various ways we present in the world, questioning between hidden and stigma, acceptance and diversity. We set a stage on those hidden faces of our being that live in the shadows and seek a moment of clarity to talk about everything that we hide to others, and perhaps, ourselves.
