The Eixample Theater proposes Sevement an officea comedy written by Emma Demar and directed by Ernest Fusterexplores labor dynamics and power relationships within an office.
The action begins on a Friday afternoon, when the office workers are about to close the working day and leave to enjoy the weekend. However, a storm results in a failure in the building’s computer and security systems, leaving them trapped inside the office. The protagonists are the CEO of the company (Carles Pulido), the head of Human Resources (Alexandra González), the receptionist (Mònica Macfer) and the maintenance boy (Frank Capdet). Its only connection with the outside will be an old radio radio that only tuns in a broadcaster that emits the large musical hits in the 80’s in the loop.

Through the most emblematic songs of the 80’s, as Dancing in the Street, Sweet Dreams or Faiththe show explores the internal tensions of the characters, who are forced to confront their differences and work together to get out of the situation. The plot shows how these seemingly opposite characters share insecurities and frustrations that are revealed in this forced context.
We started rehearsing immediately after reading the script. Ernest has made a brilliant adaptation, “says Macfer on production.
