A guided tour of the origins of tourism
Elna Roca and the Roma Project Company invite you to enter a particular souvenir museum
We all have at home some souvenir of travel. Or more than one. Or an entire collection. We know that they are objects that directly represent the capitalist logic of tourism. But yet, we continue to buy it on each trip and continue to keep them in the shelves of our rooms.
Estave in * y I agreed to ti It is a show of Immersive Theater, a guided tour of the tourism origins which will not end as planned. A series of obstacles and appearances will show us the different faces of tourism and will open the door to reflect on how and why we travel.

Elna Roca and the Roma Project Company build an imaginary that mythifies tourist destinations and transforms them into artificial products. A space where we can escape the reality of our day to day, without thinking that people who live this reality in which we want to flee. As tourists we believe that the journey will satisfy a wish or a need, but really only responds to an inertia that the system has created to make more moneywith the risk of harm the living conditions of the people who live there.
The show, conceived as a hybrid between installation and a theatrical performanceaims to reflect on the tension between the destructive consequences of tourism and the need to travel.
After being selected from the Call for texts where the theater beats and be scheduled as a dramatized reading in the Greek beat 2025the Roma Project Company presents the whole assembly of the piece.
