Display "Rubens and the flamenco baroque"
Rubens’s unmatched creativity, his influence and the aesthetic renewal he promoted are starring in this exhibition, in which his paintings dialogue with the works of artists such as Van Dyck, Jordaens or Brueghel. Little known works from the Prado Museum travel to Barcelona in an exhibition in which Rubens’s paintings dialogue with those of Van Dyck, Jordaens or Brueghel. The exhibition brings together almost sixty pieces that are partly the creations of the teacher and partly works by other authors such as the Flemish painter and engraver Anton Van Dyck, the painter Jacques Jordaens, Jan Brueghel the Elder, the painter and recorder of Antwerp Jan Fuyt or the sculptor and architect Lucas Faydherbe.
