Synopsis:

Sitting on a park bench, Francis encourages his partner Alan to go to Holstenwall, a city in northern Germany, to see the Dr. Caligari’s street show. A municipal employee who denies the doctor a permission to act is assassinated the next day. Francis and Alan go to see Dr. Caligari and Cesare, his assistant dreamer, who announces Alan his future: he will live until dawn.
