Berta Giraut explains the experience:
After directing and writing for a group of actors and actresses with a mental health diagnosis, treating the topic of difference, not of the disease, it has become more and more important for me. We live in an age when this issue has a significant social impact and put the focus on the care And not so much in criticism is a mechanism that moves me to create. My way of writing- marked by poetry- drinks from my literary and theatrical references, and seeks a way to sublimate sadness, personal hell and the disconnection of oneself and the world.

I lose identity, in a process of awarenessto connect through the theater with different people and of high complexity. And the actors do it too. And the public too.
May they play, that they play is the ninth production of The other International Festival of Performing Arts and Mental Healthwho has collaborated on this path with artists such as Marta Carrasco, Toni Mira, Sònia Gómez, Jordi Aspa, Cabosanroque, among others. To take a step further in its desire for innovation in the field of artistic project creation and management, in the 2024 edition they premiered in the world of theater production. A world capable of generating employment opportunities for people in vulnerability. For this purpose, they have worked with the Vidal i Barraquer Foundation, Els 3 Turons Foundation and the Assoc. AREP for mental health, in the design and implementation of a project that dialogue with the process of social and labor insertion of a part of the team. This alliance, in addition to exceptional artistic results, has allowed the other to explore the theater production sector as an economic engine in a context of inclusion.
