Message of the exhibition: “The resistance of language and the morphology of speech are two characteristics present throughout the work of Teresa Solar Abboud (Madrid, 1985). His work is based on a constant search for multiple concepts presented as huge sculptural installations that, in recent years, have been complexed through forms related to resistance, vacuum, body or bone structure . If at first the artist was based on drawing and video as fundamental tools of work, over time, his production has focused on the practice of sculpture and new materials. With them, it has been articulating a deployment of forms that resume elements related to the organic world and lead to a constellation of metaphors related to the flows of currents, the gaps and the connectivity between holes and cavities. ” “This project arises from the interest of the Ca2m and MACBA Museum to show in an individual exhibition the work of Teresa Solar Abboud. Curated by Tania Pardo (director of the CA2M Museum) and Claudia Segura (responsible for the MACBA collection), the main idea of the sample is to allude to the relationship with matter, language and body production through d ‘A museography that varies, changes and expands very differently to each of its headquarters.’ This article on the cultural agenda has been updated on December 17, 2024. In anticipation of possible subsequent modifications, as well as to expand the information, we recommend contrasting it with the one published on the MACBA website.
