Architecture photography
Photographic project that explores the contemporary architecture of Barcelona, highlighting its monumentality and geometry through refined images and homogenous backgrounds. In the framework of the city as World Capital of Architecture in 2026, the series reflects on the impact of urban design on the perception of space, celebrating the dialogue between tradition and architectural innovation.
By Mabel Cedrón, a self-taught photographer specializing in architecture, whose work combines technical rigor and artistic sensibility to explore the interaction between light, geometry and space. His work, internationally recognized with numerous awards, stands out for reinterpreting the built space with a unique and contemporary vision. Author of the internationally awarded photo book “Fragments of an Ephemeral Space”, her career reflects a constant commitment to visual excellence.
This project explores the monumentality of Barcelona’s most emblematic contemporary buildings. Using a clean aesthetic and a sculptural look, the images emphasize geometry, texture and light, isolating each construction from its surroundings. A visual reflection on how architecture and urban design shape our perception of the city, in the context of Barcelona as World Capital of Architecture 2026.
