The environmental crisis is also a humanitarian crisis. The scarcity of natural resources and climate displacement are fueling social conflicts, economic inequalities and human rights violations. Human health is threatened by pollution, new diseases and thermal stress. The most vulnerable communities, especially in the south global, are the worst affected, despite the least contributing to the problem. But often they are also the ones that best resist and consider sustainable alternatives.

Over the last 5 years, Ruido Photo has made a series of reports focused on these people on the front line of the environmental crisis. Victims of the overexploitation of human beings, but also defenders of the land and who takes care of it. His example serves to understand the monster we face, but also to remind us that there is still much that we can do.
