This exhibition brings together a careful selection of photographs awarded throughout the last editions of the Fokus International Photography Awardheld annually at Albania. This collective exhibition presented in Barcelona for the first time, is part of a joint action promoted by the International Photography Festival Association (IPFA), which aims to make visible and spread the work of the most important photography festivals in the international level.
Since its foundation in 2006 for the passion and love of photography and the search for its true values, Fokus It has evolved to become an essential platform for artistic photography, not only in the Balkans, but also in the global landscape. With an approach focused on the values of photographic art and the experience of several international schools, the festival promotes qualitative growth, competitive spirit and creative dialogue around the image. Over the years, Fokus has exposed the work of photographers from around the world, whose images address a great diversity of topics: from the privacy of the everyday to contemporary social and cultural problems. This exhibition not only celebrates the talent of the award -winning artists, but also invites the public to reflect on the power of photography as a universal language.
With this exhibition, we inaugurate the Sala Gífes as a space created by IPFA so that all festivals in the world can bring to Barcelona the best exhibitions for free.
