There are wars that are not struggled in distant battlefields, but on the inhospitable and lonely inland.

War area the bodyis a personal project where I have completely left my comfort zone using self -portraiture as a tool for expression. Initially framed in a postgraduate work in Visual and Therapeutic Pedagogy of Image at Instituto8 and UB, it becomes an important part in an intimate and deep process of internal healing and pacification after years of suffering and living (myself and my closest environment) the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (TEPT), especially in the “ return home ” and to try to make a “ normal ” life. Co -operating, activist and photographer.

To do this I projected photographs of the reality lived by me from 1996 to 2009 (most in analog archive). Looking at the past I go inside the projection, I breathe the present moment without haste and focus on the traffic of the emotions and sensations that were impregnated in the body at the time of taking the photo. At that time he shot his camera by self -portraiture and wrote what he had stayed in his mind at the present moment. The vulnerability at that time gave way to a creative and later explorer force that allowed me to pass my shame and even the initial rejection of this project, and finally I could open a very sincere personal update window that led to this work.

From images archived of the past, and a current process of recognition, visualization and thank you present/past, here/there, I/others, family/world, analog/digital … they begin to approach each other walked forward.
