A meeting of women filmmakers and creators around the art of filmmaking in times of crisis. It will be a space for reflection, exchange and conversation about audiovisual creation, independent production and the ways of sustaining one’s own voice in complex contexts.
Next, the section will be presented wild women with the official premiere in Barcelona of the film The river womanwith the presence of the Argentinian actress Andrea Carballo and part of the production team. After the screening there will be a discussion with the audience and a small toast by invitation of the festival.
Synopsis: It is a dramatic film from Argentina and Uruguay directed by Néstor Mazzini. It’s about Erica, a woman looking for a new life with her daughter Flor after years of violence. Everything gets complicated when his ex-partner, Pedro, is released from prison and begins a legal and emotional battle to get them back.
