In 1978, in the midst of the democratic transition, a bus driver decided to defy the Barcelona authorities: Manolo Vital, a resident of Torre Baró, hijacked the vehicle on line 47 and drove it to his neighborhood, inaccessible according to the City Council. From this unusual fact, The 47 reconstructs a true story of peaceful disobedience that exposes the fractures of an unequal city. The film moves between social drama and the intimate portrait of an ordinary man who becomes a collective symbol.

Directed by Marcel Barrena, The 47 combines sober staging with careful historical reconstruction to portray neighborhood struggle and worker dignity. With Eduard Fernández and Clara Segura in the lead, the film has been awarded the Gaudí for best film and actor, and has received several Goya nominations, including best film, production direction and supporting actors.
