Winter: find warmth in local talent at the Mercat de les Flors
With doses of traditional and contemporary witchcraft, a Super medium, Núria Guiu and the Norwegian choreographer Ingri Fiscalthey invite us on a journey of ghostly transmissions. It is a dark, introspective, but at the same time warm and luminous show, in which the physicality and femininity of the ten dancers are revealed. An ode to brotherhood.
Artisans of the most exquisite acrobatics, Rose Tutusaus i Tom Weksler they are dancers and creators with a very versatile background. In 2018 they founded Wonderground Arts del Moviment and now they propose to us Momentuman acrobatic dance show that explores the poetry in actions like spinning, falling, climbing and even flying!

Spring: metropolitan, root and seismic
Spring is synonymous with two festivals: Metropolitan Dancein March, and the seismograph of Olot, in April. At the moment we know little about the programming, but the big theaters have already announced some names. The National Theater has opted for a new creation or, rather, room, with hotel – stage group and the playwright, actor and director Jordi Oriol. Both for the quality of this group of dancer-creators, and for Oriol’s ingenuity and stage dexterity, Suite nº4 Do not disturb is one of the most prominent quotes. And at the Mercat de les Flors, among other shows, you can see it monument dAngel Duranthe one-size-fits-all show—that is, for families, friends, couples and lone wolves—, Skate park of the Danish choreographer Mette Ingvartsen i Natural Order of Things of Guy Nader i Maria Campos.
In April, the Mercat de les Flors also offers us the Radicals d’arrel cycle, in which artists draw on languages such as flamenco or traditional dances to explore their choreographic richness. From the elegant simplicity of Laia Santanachwhich presents Jaranato the irresistible and refreshing picaresque of The Chachiwhich presents Alegrías randoms accompanied on stage by a great accomplice, the singer Lola Dolores, and the other radical tandem with a punk accent, Victor i Raúl Pérez Armerothat will shake us with Rel and Staple.
Summer: a Swedish date at the Liceu
Again we will be able to see a show from the Swede Alexander Ekman at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. With more than 50 shows in his repertoire, this choreographer often invites us to reflect through a playful staging with a scenography of an austere extravagance. This season the dance company of the Gothenburg Opera gives us a treat Hammer, a show that presents two scenarios: a hippie community that seems to float in joyful altruism in the first, and a group of individuals absorbed in their own bubbles in the second. Ekman unfolds real and surreal scenes in movement while masterfully interweaving group choreographies, solos, trios or duets. It is undoubtedly one of the tastiest proposals of the season.
