
Theater: “August” by Tracy Letts
The title of the work defines the place and moment of history: a hot August in a rural area on the outskirts of Pawhuska, Osage County, Oklahoma. Beverly Weston disappears in strange circumstances, and his wife Violet shouts his daughters and sister to support him.
In the development of the family encounter, the misery of the clan, anchored in Violet’s disadvantaged, a mother -ill -cancer and addicted mother, and her three daughters, Barbara, Ivy and Karen, bearers, carriers in their own misfortunes, are released.
This dramatic theatrical comedy written by Tracy Letts was awarded the Drama Pulitzer Prize in 2008 and two years later the Catalan adaptation was released to the TNC.
