Taller de Músics joins the biennial Manifesta con Cabal Musical
Promoted by the Besòs Consortium, the Cabal Musical project produced by Taller de Músics will celebrate the Saturday October 19 a great festival that will take place in the Tres Xemeneies de Sant Adrià del Besòs with lots of music, the premiere of a new documentary and a DJ session.
Black music, Latin sounds, indie music, original songs and flamenco or folk and electronic elements will make the attendees dance with the concerts of artists from different editions: Monique Makon, Paula Peso, Sara Aldana, Mireia Inglés y Júlia Cruz and Abraham Lojo.
The documentary, directed and produced by the videomaker Andres Pino and his agency Empty setwill show archival images and recent interviews where past and present interrelate in a tour full of musical stories and emotions. Andrés knows the Cabal Musical musicians well and has been present in all their creations during the ten years of the project.
The setting of the celebration could not be better, manifestthe European Nomadic Biennial that is being held in Barcelona this year. The Musical Cabal is a social innovation project based on the artistic accompaniment of young musical talents from barrios and peripheral towns of Barcelona crossed by the Besòs River. As Manifesta, it is a project that rethinks the relationship between culture and society and promotes positive social change through culture, the social sphere and its communities.
Until today, the Musical Cabal has welcomed more than forty artists and musical projects. Medina y Núria Duránalso artists of the Musical Cabal, will be the event’s masters of ceremonies and the end of the party will be in charge of Dj Dani Kongowho will play much of the music produced by all these musicians who have passed through the project.
