School revolt, the way to a safe environment and dreamed of children
The Barcelona Metropolitan Area concentrates nine of the ten kilometers with the highest population density in Europe. Although journeys in private vehicles represent just over 20% of mobility, their circulation and parking occupy more than 60% of the public space.
In this context, five years ago the School revolta movement arising from the self -organization of families to demand safer and healthier school environments for children. This photographic project shows us the path traveled: from a gray reality, marked by air pollution – which causes 1,500 deaths in the city every year to the collective impulse that has mobilized hundreds of AFA throughout the territory in the struggle for a more green and livable future.
Her School revolt It is a citizen movement born in Barcelona, which wants to achieve safer and more pollution streets around schools.
