Next Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 18:00, will take place in the Room of the Charity of the Library of Catalonia the presentation of the book Josep Sebastià Pons. Literary route.

The book is a literary guide that allows you to visit both the Roussillon and some counties of the Principality from poems and narratives by the Roussillon poet Josep Sebastià Pons (1886 – 1962).

The presentation will be given by the authors, the philologist and Hellenist Eusebi Ayensa and the Roussillon philologist Miquela Valls. It will also have the interventions of the poet Sam Abrams, and of the publisher Jaume Torrent, of the Caligraf publishing house.

Josep Sebastià Pons had traveled the Roussillon Aspres on frequent walks, where he was following the trail of the ancestors. And from here, he had entered the Vallespir, the Conflent and the Cerdanya, to cross the Albera mountain range and pass to the counties of the Empordà, La Garrotxa and Ripollès. This guide-which combines presentations of the described places (in Catalan and French), photographs, literary texts and audios-allows all these cross-border territories to be traveled by the first major contemporary North Catalan writer.
