La Febrerada is back: the most festive day of the ESS

The February 7 is the date fixed in the calendar to celebrate La Febrerada this year, la meeting of entities affiliated to the Strategy of the#ESSBCN2030.

Again, the Bloc4BCN will host the debate sessions and plenary sessions organized where different experiences will be shared around the leadership and the Social Economy in the city of Barcelona. At night, the gathering is transformed into a playful celebration space open to all citizens. Under the title of “ESS, humor and rock & roll” the room Parallel 62 will host a party with free and open access.

February will start promptly at 09.00 in the morning with a debate day which will give the opportunity to participate in different simultaneous debates with key issues for the future of the sector:
– Expand scope without expanding budget: Innovative strategies to approach SSE.
– Attracting talent to the ESS: Value proposition and best practices.
– Map of digitization in Barcelona.
– Let’s travel to the future of SSE: What role have we played in achieving the ecosocial transition?

This day aims to become a space to share challenges, discuss trends and advance the consolidation of SSE in the city. Attention! The participation in La Febrerada is free, though prior registration is required through this link.

What is #ESSBCN2030?

The Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy for Barcelona 2030 is one document agreed between the representative entities of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS), led by AESCAT and the City Council, which prioritizes joint work lines and key activity sectors in the city. Its main purpose is to grow and strengthen the tissue of the ESS. In addition, it aspires to be a guide for SSE policies in the following local governments, transversal and for all municipal policies.

All entities linked to the social economy of the city of Barcelona can adhere to the manifesto and participate in the different processes that are being carried out over the years to advance the implementation of this strategy.
