La Beckett’s season: a commitment to contemporary stories
The Sala Beckett inaugurates the 2024-25 season with a determined commitment to contemporary stories, focusing on quality contemporary Catalan theatre, the commitment to dramatic authorship and its promotion on an international scale.
The program starts this same week with BioLogicof Silvia Navarro Perramonin a co-production with Sixtus Pazdirected by Pau Roca and with a cast consisting of Claudia Benito, Victoria Pagès i Sea Ulldemolins. The Argentinian playwright Sergio Boris also debuts at Beckett with Euphoria and unhappinessa show by this season’s resident company, The Axiswhich explores the ups and downs of the human condition with humor and tragedy.

Later, Beckett will premiere her first own production: From fandom to trolling. A satire of blah, blah, blahof Berta Prietoa story about the overthinking of Generation Z played by Belén Barenys, Rose Dresaire, Judit Martin, Irene Moray i Laura Roig. Programming will continue in the spring with expulsiona new work by Pau Miródirected by Toni Casares with Anna Alarcón, Montse German, Xavi Sáez i Mia Sala-Pataua raw and poignant portrait of the struggle for dignity in a context of marginalization and helplessness. The season will also give voice to new talents like Pau Masalówhich will present three pigs during his residence with The Axisi Núria Corominas Pérezwhich debuts solo with A lamb has crossed the desert.
