Exposició “De les trepitjades se n’estampen les paraules” – Centre Cívic Guinardó
Communicating vessels from memory
Its title is inspired by the work of Fina Miralles, Petjades (1976). This project explores the mechanisms by which we perceive memory, from the gesture of stepping to the profound act of leaving a trace. Here, the footprint becomes a poetic gesture, a metaphor for the ephemeral that, in its registration, transits between individual and collective memory, creating a subtle and at the same time powerful appropriation of space. The exhibition proposes memory as a living being, a subtle regulator of our behaviour. Trampling, as an action and as a memory, becomes a tool to recover the past and understand the present. In this ephemeral and tangible act, the very constituent of memory is revealed: a fleeting but significant constancy.
The footprint, materialized in the ground, is presented as a synergistic element that connects the lived experience with the poetic action of time. Through experimentation and artistic practice, the artists in the exhibition delve deeper into this action of memory and its link with the word. His works dialogue, generating conversations that not only explore the ephemeral dimension of the trace, but also its capacity to open poetic spaces and reconfigure memory over time. This is an invitation to observe how the simplest gesture can contain infinite complexity, a narrative of the lived moment that transcends the present to find new layers of meaning.
This exhibition is part of the Mirada Pilot project, an emerging curation program to create an exhibition that travels through the Barceloneta Civic Centre, the Boca Nord Youth Space and the Sant Andreu Civic Centre. These communicating vessels act as support platforms for emerging curators, offering spaces and resources for the development of new artistic and cultural proposals.
The curatorial discourse presented must be composed of four artistic proposals participating in the Guinardó Civic Center Stripart Festival.
