exhibition "Time machines"

Message of the exhibition: “Experience time and desire in a suspended territory like the prison. Time Machines is a conceptual and visual framework that invites us to reflect on the prison as an abstract space, a place where reflections on the past and the desire to travel back, but also the longing for time to pass quickly, emerge like the fables about future scenarios for the individual and society.” “The exhibition addresses the peculiarities of working from artistic creation in a hermetic context such as the penitentiary environment: the situation of closure, the accumulated vulnerability and the feeling of a passage of time outside the course of normative society give rise to a viscerality that – driven by desire – translates in some cases into an urgent need for expression through drawing, painting, ceramics and other artistic languages.” Opening: The Minister of Justice, Rights and Memory, Gemma Ubasart, and the Minister of Culture, Natàlia Garriga, present, next Thursday 27 at 11 am, the exhibition ‘Time Machines.
