Exhibition: "Breathing Waves"

Breathing Waves presents the work of Paola Idronino in an exhibition that connects art, nature and environmental awareness through a collection of sculptures, dresses and photographs that reflect both the charming beauty hidden under the waves and the devastating effects of the whitewashing coral caused by climate change. The passion of Paola Idontino to tell stories is combined with complex textile provisions, creating dresses inspired by grotesque creatures and the beauty of nature. His photographs express his affection for stories and myths, with references to a female world that becomes a protective deity of underwater creatures. With the support of traditional techniques, Paola explores the manipulative properties of fibers and combines them with unexpected and contrasting materials, both new and recycled. This exhibition includes Evanescent, its greatest textile sculpture, along with sea -inspired dresses, photos, videos, sketches and accessories. This collection includes works created from 2016 to the present. For more information you can consult the exhibition website: “Breathing Waves” Last Update: 02/21/2025
