The Guinardó Civic Center residency program is aimed at artists, collectives and companies that have a performing arts project in the process of being developed in any of its phases. This call offers a residency period from May 2026, and the sample of the project created during the winter term of 2027 (January, February, March 2027).

What does the civic center offer?

Diaphanous rehearsal space of 56 m², with wooden floor, mirrors and sound equipment. We don’t have warehouse space.

6 hours of free weekly space assignment during the months in residence.

Representation of the project created during the winter of 2027 (date to be confirmed with the centre).

5 hours of room technician on the day of the performance.

External dissemination of the presentation of the project through our communication channels, with the collaboration of the company that will be involved in its distribution.

The residency program includes the delivery of a practical resource consisting of an updated directory of spaces, festivals and exhibition circuits, intended to promote the professional projection and network of contacts of the companies.

What does the company or artist have to contribute?

Artistic curriculum vitae of the company or artist, or a brief description of their career.

If you have one, dossier of the work you want to create (synopsis, technical needs, etc.).

Production calendar.

If you have previous work, a couple of links where you can view them.

Any other documentation that the company considers helpful in understanding the project.

Selection system:

The Guinardó Civic Center team will meet to evaluate the proposals received and on May 4 will communicate the decision to the applicants.

Proposals that the center’s team consider to meet the criteria, but have not been selected due to lack of space availability, will be placed on a waiting list to be admitted when there is availability.

Conditions of participation:

The selected companies will have to perform an unpaid performance at the civic center as Guinardó a Escena cycle as compensation.

The selected companies undertake not to be absent unjustifiably and to respect the regulations for the use of the equipment.

The selected companies will have to sign an agreement with the civic center specifying the conditions of residence.

The selected companies must attend the Guinardó a Escena quarterly work committee organized by the civic center team.

The organization reserves the right to resolve, as it deems most appropriate, any situation not provided for in these rules. Registration for the call means acceptance of these rules.
