“Children prodigy: fame, science and politics” exhibition

- “The Biblioteca de Catalunya (BC) invites you to visit the exhibition “Prodigy children: fame, science and politics”, curated by Andrea Graus, Victoria Molinari and Violeta Ruiz, historians of science from the Milà and Fontanals-CSIC Institution. »
- “The child prodigy has established itself as an almost mythical figure of cultural and scientific fascination. Barcelona was a recipient and exporter of child prodigies of all kinds and the Biblioteca de Catalunya preserves a great variety of sources related to this phenomenon, especially from the period 1900-1950. This includes personal archives and artistic albums of musical virtuosos, printed sources such as photo reports from magazines, books written by these children and scientific studies of their faculties.
