Six international artists from different disciplines and a photographer meet in Palma de Mallorca in a residence for research and artistic production directed by the Italian artist Rocco Papia.
The objective is to investigate the issue of the impact of mass tourism on the territory, the anthropological and cultural structure and the Mallorcan ecosystem. The “Mediterranean Restitutions” exhibition is born: 6 works created from waste collected on the beaches and cliffs on the island, implemented with electronics, video and sound art. The works engage the audience through manipulation, exploration of sound archives, interaction with voice through sensors and photographic research, creating a conceptual and multi-sensory journey.
