Barcelona opens its first International Festival of Magic


From October 10 to 13, 2024, the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona will become the epicenter of illusionism with the celebration of Magical Villagethe first International Festival of Magic of the city The competition will bring together 15 outstanding artists from the world of magic, who will offer a total of 13 shows spread over several graceful stages and will explore a wide range of disciplines, from grand illusions to comic magic, through mentalism, ventriloquy, pickpocketing or theater-magic, among others.

An opening with magic and gastronomy

On Thursday, October 10 at 8:00 p.m., Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia will host the great Inaugural Galapresented by the artistic director of the festival, Jordi Pota. A free gala, full of humor, games and participatory magic, will serve as the ideal starting point for the event. Also on Thursday, at 9:30 p.m., the Cloister of the Congregation of the Oratory of Sant Felip Neri will be the scene of an innovative pairing between the close-up magic of magician Pere Rafart and gastronomy, with the presence musical ofOld Negroni.

Solidarity magic, night shows

On Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m., the Gràcia Center will be the setting for the Solidarity Magic Gala with neighborhood social entities, with the Wizard Stigman and the show fabulous. Family weekend

Saturday, October 12, will start in the morning with the family show impossible of Magic Pol in Plaça d’en Joanic, followed by the intimate magic session contrasts ofAlvaro Oreja at the Orfeó Gracienc. In the afternoon, the International Gala will bring together three great illusionists: Hector Mancha, Mario Lopez i Wizard Albertin the Cercle de Gràcia. The festival will culminate on Sunday, October 13 with shows like Both sides of thirst for magic in Joanic Square; postman of Txema Muñoz to the Lluísos de Gràcia; Dreams of a Magician with the Magician Giselle in L’Auténtica Teatre; i Strafalari of Mage Larry in the Cercle de Gràcia.
