Anti-democrats of the PSC
Forgive me for being monothematic, but I have a problem that somehow has to come out: the City Council announced in 2023 that, in exchange for leaving it to the Conren Tramway investment fund make offices in the very high building of Las Tres Xemeneiesin Poble-sec, the real estate developer would take care of specific reforms of the plaza first and of a comprehensive after the works of the collector, aka the massive, noisy and ruinous work in Vilà and Vilà, which you would not see in a rich neighborhood. Those specific renovations were a basketball court, an outdoor gym with table tennis and picnic tables, a beach bar and a relocation of the walls for urban art. Three years later, the basketball court is sad, with hoops without a net and the beach bar has closed. But to put an end to the death of the square, a few days ago the City Council decided, without neighborhood consultation of any kind, ban graffiti. Since then, cleaning crews paint the walls gray every day, EVERY DAY. In addition, a van from the city makes sure that no one dares to commit the unfortunate crime of putting a note of color in a place that loses the little life it had. And, of course, the decision comes with zero units of democratic consultation with the neighbors of the neighborhood.
