Ametller Florit 2025: Tribute to Joan Maragall / Activities / Visit us / Start
Next Sunday, February 9, at 12 noon, will take place the event “Ametller Florit” of tribute to Joan Maragall in Sant Gervasi Cemetery in Barcelonain front of the poet’s tomb.
This meeting has been held uninterruptedly for decades under the auspices of an almond tree that was planted in 1924, near the mortal remains of Joan Maragall, in memory of the poem The almond.
The event will begin the Catalan poet Teresa Colom, who will read a text of his own about Joan Maragall.
Poems by Joan Maragall will then be read, and finally, the Orfeó Laudate, directed by Laia de las Heras, will perform songs with texts by the poet.
The entrance is free.
