The Universitat Jaume I of Castelló de la Plana will host, from July 15 to 18, the 39th International Conference for Catalan Teachers, a meeting aimed at the main protagonists of the Llull Network: Catalan teachers from around the world. More than 70 Catalan studies teachers from universities from 23 countries in Europe and America will reflect and discuss the teaching activity and learning strategies in Catalan as a foreign language.
The inaugural session will propose a reflection on the opportunities that the AI gives us, and will also raise the ethical challenges, dangers and distrust it generates. Will participate in it Albert Sabater Collfrom the University of Girona, and Ramon López de Mántaras and Badiaof the Higher Council for Scientific Research and member of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans, with moderation of Marilisa Birellofrom the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Will also address the Advantages and disadvantages of the use of IA in a context of teaching and learning in the workshops scheduled for Wednesday morning.
The program includes a presentation session of the International Associations of Catalanistic, which will have the participation ofImmaculate Fàbregas by the Association Française des Catalanistes; Beth Caygillfrom the Anglo-Catalan Society; Emanuela Forgettaby the Italian Associazione di Studi Catalani, and Esther Gimenoby Deutscher Katalanistikverband.
Apart from the workshops, conferences and communications on methodology and practice of teaching Catalan, the conference also proposes various cultural activities. On Tuesday evening the DJ Trapella will perform as part of a dinner and bingo music that will review the history of music in Catalan, and on Wednesday the participants will attend a poetry recital between vineyards in the Clos d’Esgarracordes, in the USERES, by Eduard Marco and Òscar Briz.
