Exit conference held at Nau Ivanow brings together more than 115 professionals in the performing arts sector
On November 12 and 13, 2024 were held at Nau Ivanow Les Exit conference dedicated to discussing and reflecting on around accompaniment and support for creation in performing arts. Curated by Erik Forsberg and Alba Saura-Clares, of the collective The stage platformthey had a total of 118 people enrolled.
The first day started with the Presentation of thereport that the stage platform has elaborated after a Research on how the support of the creation in performing arts in Catalonia is exercised. Then a dynamic was organized by all attendees to continue talking about this topic and generating a map with the contributions arising. Once the dynamic was over, attendees were divided into tables to discuss the tension points on creation supportfinally, to share with everyone.
The day concluded with a session afterwork of electronic music live by Sergio Camachofrom the Uratilab company, and Adrià Gironaof the company Monte Isla. Both are companies resident in Nau Ivanow.
The second day of the conference was dedicated to talking about artistic professionalization. At the first round table, a tailor -made board game was proposed so that participants could share and debate the accompaniment models and had the participation of the artists Vivian Friedrich (Circus), Amaranta Velarde (dance and movement), Peire gala (text – hybrid scene) and Queer Falafel(Performance).
The second round table was dedicated to reflect on how Take care of the calls with the participation of the managers Diego Salazar (Fes! Culture), Emma Brasó (Holdente), Natalia Carminati(Licc – Paac) and the artist Morning.
The conference concluded with a space open to all attendees in order to finish sharing reflections and points of view on the topics covered during the day.
As we said in the Exit program, we believe that it is necessary Find spaces to stop and think, to evaluate, listen and share with other professionals in the sector . And that is why we wanted to organize these days. We have, however, a lot of work to do: to collect all the material that has been generated in order to evaluate and see how we can continue to work and grow.
