The Port of Barcelona and the Photographic Grouping of Catalonia continue with the exhibition composed of forty photographs of the last 170 years with the port as the protagonist.

Els Ports are one of the most interesting and photogenic spaces. Thus, it is not surprising that the port of Barcelona has been the subject of photographers, almost from the same day that the first photograph was taken in Spain.

A small, but forceful exhibition on the port of Barcelona, ​​which contains, by the curator, Joan Alemany, 40 photographs of professionals and amateurs who have immortalized the port spaces over time. The exhibition is complemented by a projection of historical images of the port, selected from the collection of the Barcelona Port Authority Archive.

The main purpose of the exhibition will be to show this double intentionality -artistic and
Documentary- of different collections that have in the port of Barcelona as central object
of attention. Will also show the diffuse and permeable line of separation between artistic work and
Documentary and can be analyzed as some works have become historical elements
Important that help to understand the past and evolution of the port to the present.
